Middle Eastern Reformatory

I am on my travels with work again. Sitting in a distant hotel room as the Call to Prayer echoes out across the land. An ancient city surrounded by mountains full of places to inspire kinky thoughts in a girl like me. Work travel has the ability to be terribly isolating as you battle with strange menus, dodgy hotels and the knowledge that everyone back home is probably having a riot whilst you grapple with spreadsheets on a Saturday afternoon. It can however be a time to be introspective, look inwards and rekindle your batteries away from the madding crowd. It's interesting that after months of being a little indifferent about writing I'm feeling the urge to blog again after just two days away from home. Thus this Arabic week (Saturday-Wednesday) I shall endeavour to bring a blog post every day, mainly because I have been having some fabulous adventures over the last few months, I just haven't really felt like blogging about them.

But first (as I really should be preparing a report for tomorrow but have been at work all day and fancy a break) I bring you the striking similarities between travelling in a strict Islamic country and a Victorian reformatory. This is largely inspired by my incarceration in such an institution a couple of weeks ago, which is a story for when I don't have a giant spreadsheet to populate.

1. Rules about dress. Except the reformatory dresses, ribbons and knee socks were far cuter than the long skirt, baggy top and headscarf that I have to wear here. Plus infractions resulted in a beating rather than being arrested or kidnapped!

2. Cold showers. Unlike most of the other inmates I was somewhat unphased by the cold bath at the reformatory (years of messing about in boats do that to you!) but having had three cold showers since I got here is significantly less kinky and really quite annoying.

3. Powercuts. At the reformatory the powercut caused a minor panic and spoiled my cherry batter pudding whilst everyone rushed around trying to find the fuse box. Here there is no fuse box and eventually the generators start roaring and power returns. This happens several times a day, usually when you are just about to save a vital piece of work. Thankfully Jessica bought me a very interesting flashlight that doubles as a vibrator and is perfect for keeping me amused when the power goes out, I would attach a picture but unfortunately the local internet provider has banned the babeland site as 'pornography' :( On that note it is very amusing to discover what does and doesn't constitute porn over here...

4. Working at the weekend. In the reformatory we had to copy boring phrases from the diary and cook for the masters, here I have to go into the office and pretend to do my job. At some point they're going to figure out that I'm a total incompetent but I'm hoping that when they do they won't beat me...

5. Contraband. At the reformatory we smuggled in huge amounts of alcohol and sweet goodies to nibble on. The dressing table of my room here is piled with Mini Eggs, Dairy Milk and Chupa Chupps lollies as often the food in these places is pretty random and I get grumpy when I get hungry.

6. Inspired kinky thoughts...from being wronged by masters at the reformatory to wondering what it would have been like to be a harem girl in years gone by...yes I have a dirty mind.

7. Regular interventions, although at least the hourly punishments at the reformatory didn't wake you up in the middle of the night like the call to prayer!

So there you have it girls and boys - same difference really :)

Airport lounge discipline

I'm off on my travels again with work. It's not too glamorous - 18 hour journeys in economy that leave you dying for a shower and a sleep (but what I do is worthwhile so it's ok). One of the pluses is that we can access the business lounges at airports so if we're in transit we can recharge laptops and chill out a bit. My membership card's only just arrived so I was very excited as I bounced off my horrid night flight and went in search of the lounge - and felt very pleased with myself as I settled myself down with a coffee, orange juice and some museli on a nice big sofa.

There were 'no sleeping' signs on all the sofas but it was pretty quiet so I commandeered one as I checked my email. Then stretched out on it, then lay all the way down and had a bit of a snooze only to be woken by someone telling me that was against the rules. It would have seemed rather apt if they gave overly dozy girls a spanking to ensure that they wouldn't fall asleep again - and with the view over the airport would have been quite a cool place to play. Sadly not, though I did charm the man into getting a diet coke for me to 'wake me up'...

ERECTION SPECIALISTS

I know men like to let each other know that 'mine's bigger than yours' but surely this is taking penis envy a bit far? Amusingly the bloke in the van tried to stop me taking a picture but failed miserably...

What will we see next?

'TRAMLINE EXPERTS

'MARKS GUARANTEED'

'I HAVE THE BIGGEST PADDLE'

'BRATS PULVERISED'

Feel free to add your own suggestions (yes, I am a little bored today!)

Back to School

For real rather than play for once. Having sorrowfully graduated, packed my bags, bought a suit and moved to London for a grown-up job three years ago it's more than a little surreal. I'm not full-time, as my job is 5 days a week (and more when I'm travelling) it's just one evening a week for three hours, plus at least as much reading again. All in all pretty manageable but when you factor in the job, friends, exercising, coaching and music making I have some worries about whether I'll make time.

Despite involving a manic dash across town after work and increasing fixation on dinner as the class progresses the whole process is quite nostalgic. Repeatedly going back to the union to see if my card was ready, photocopying journals in the library at lunchtime, hiding the last copy of the book I wanted because my library card hadn't come through (naughty by necessary), taking the piss out of the really annoying girl in the class, stocking up on shiny new highlighters, pens and paper - lots of things. The deadline deja-vu hasn't arisen yet as the first essay isn't due for weeks - a huge difference from my first degree when I was expected to churn out 3,000 words three times in two weeks! I am fully anticipating that I will still procrastinate gloriously over it though!

Another big difference is that I'll be in trouble if I don't do the reading or make deadlines - with the boy interest off to study to be a Master (ho ho) a long way away we've made some rules. I'm determined to be good and keep *that* particular rule as the course is something I really want to do for me...as for some of the others...we'll see...rules and Rebecca have a somewhat rocky relationship (hence the blog title). Still it is rather brave of him - the first guy who spanked me in my last year at Uni didn't dare impose rules around me studying, not that I'd have let him if he'd wanted to! It does feel a little like I'm living in interesting times as rules and me don't tend to mix but I think it's important to have some to help us maintain our dynamic over a distance - I'll probably live to regret it!

The Fear Factor

The 'Fear Factor' can be one of the biggest rushes in a scene BDSM in general. The slightly sick, out of body feeling when you hear that tone of voice and the build-up has been just right. The looming realisation that something's going to happen and it's going to hurt and you deserve it. For me the fear factor is greatest in role play scenes as in reality tangible fears don't hold much sway over me (but don't get me started over the intangible fears). Be it the strict headmaster, the reformatory warden who is clearly a real sadist or a vengeful slave master someone people who can go with me to a place where I'm genuinely scared and subsequently repentant or at the very least cowed are wonderful.

There was a time in the not so distant past when the fear factor rose more quickly. In a couple of very memorable scenes when I was first dipping my toes into the waters of 'the scene' and BDSM as opposed to kinky games with a boyfriend I actually fainted. The fear (and shock) factors of being in a real dungeon with real implements I'd only heard about in books with someone I barely knew scared the hell out of me but in a really hot way. In all honesty the actual fainting wasn't hot but that level of nerves whenever someone so much as spanked me was.

The fear factor doesn't necessarily kick in because you're going to play really hard - it's a mindset. It's the build up, the uncompromising tone of voice, the unyielding nature of having to be in a certain position or respond in a certain way, the relentless hand forcing your head further down and the associated feeling of helplessness. The indicators that someone means business kicking in and you senses hitting a heightened level meaning less can even be more. I love it and the sick feeling in my stomach that comes with it.

Thinking about recent play it's not something that has been kicking in so much. The boy interest and I are experimenting with Ds and playing more as us (which is both scary and wonderful in a completely different way) and I don't seem to have got round to playing that type of imbalanced mind-fuck of a scene. This led to me thinking about why and I think part of it is being rather stressed with real-life issues and physically away, which has left me with less time to plot evil scenes and ferment bad behaviour - I haven't been playing so many 'formal' scenes and those I have played have been hot and fun rather than scary. I also have been too taken with the boy to meet new people. I'm not sure if you tend to have these scenes more with someone new but I think sometimes it can make it more scary but then as Emma Jane rightly pointed out if a scene is going to push your limits as part of the fear factor the trust of being with established playmates is absolutely crucial. Thinking about it has given me the urge to plan some scene that will push the 'fear factor' as looking back those scenes have historically been some of my favourites (and I may write about a few) but I throw the floor open - what gives you the 'fear factor'?

War and Peace

The boy interest jokingly told me last week (following the fighting back incident) that if I was a book I'd be 'War and Peace'. My response to this was "What - thick and boring?!", which he tactfully assured me wasn't the case. Apparently it's because I alternate between being very feisty and all mellow and mewly and am a little hard to read, which is actually rather clever of him.

You see I am very peaceful sometimes, lying and purring happily as the boy interest (or if we're honest anyone - I'm a bit of a sensation slut) strokes my hair or back. Being all good when he wants to do something horrible to me and doing as I'm told even if I know it's going to hurt. Cuddling up with my head on his chest after we've played and it's over and I'm a 'good girl' again. If you extend the 'peace' thing beyond the bedroom it's me cleaning the kitchen tonight, even though I'd rather go out or cooking nice meals when I'm tired or listening to my flatmates when I've got in from an awful day and just want to curl up in a heap. I also do my bit to keep the peace - I make a visible effort to be nice to people, even if I have no real reason to, give up my seat on the tube to old ladies and am learning to bit my tongue - that sort of thing.

Then there's the warlike Rebecca, who can be downright scary. Not just 'fighting back' in scenes but more often than not in my vanilla life. I'm off for an alumni weekend with university friends that involves us taking on other alumni teams and reliving the college rivalry, and the messages about 'not just beating them - breaking them' and 'shattering their dreams' have been flying thick and fast. I'm terribly, terribly excited as this has been on the cards since January and I'm organising our team and can't wait to get out there and give them hell (even though I'm not technically allowed but I'll tell my physio I was lifting a box...or something). Truth be told I love the thrill of the fight - giving everything and then a bit more to win and I always have, my friends joke about us having 'Rebecca power' because when I set my mind to something I have a tendency to beat the odds and pushing that is a huge rush. Having a hated rival (as we do this weekend) makes it even more fun because it gives that extra little frisson to drive you a bit harder. Warlike...me...never!

Still it's an interesting combination - war and peace that in some way parallels my kinky and vanilla lives. In my vanilla life I go out to bat against the world and usually win - having had to fight for everything I've ever achieved it's instinctive to do so. I'm a very good friend to those I care about (and will always drop everything if a friend needs me - no questions asked) but in battle I show my rivals no quarter because I know all too well if I do they'll overtake me, supersede me, replace me. That's why my submissive side is so important because it lets me yield without feeling weak, submit to someone else and enjoy a different set of values. If I want to sit with my head on the boy interest's lap during a party and go all subby and mewy I can...and if he wants to use and abuse me he can...unless he's trying to kidnap me. Yep - 'War and Peace' sums it up pretty well :)

They saw me coming...

Last night I stopped over in Dubai en route to another work destination, this time in the Middle East. I have to say that I was exceptionally impressed by the hotel's attention to detail and efforts to ensure that every guest felt at home. For not only was I upgraded to a suite but it came complete with it's own spanking bench! Clearly the hotel go beyond the call of duty to make sure that guests feel at home! There were also numerous cushions on the bed, including a bolster that would be just perfect for propping under a girl's tummy as she knelt on the bench - could a hotel spanking set up be much more perfect?

Sadly I only had eight hours to enjoy the suite (and bed, which was bigger than my entire bedroom at home!) because I had to catch an early flight onto my final destination this morning. This unfortunate timing meant that I missed my complimentary spanker, who would normally visit ones room to administer a firm spanking designed to ward off any homesick feelings a girl might have. The administration of traditional Arab implements following this would obviously be entirely optional! I did feel a little bit sad though because I had this fabulous huge suite, with a living room that would seat about six people and no one to share it with or do rude things in the huge bed with...sigh! However, there is another kinky connection in my current location - the local brand of bottled water is called 'Bared'! Ahem!

Greedy or adventurous?

I've been thinking a bit recently about the differences between vanilla and kinky, between heterosexual and heteroflexible and the distinction between monogamy and more 'open options'. Bizarrely this was all bought on by evening meals on my work trip, because whenever we had dessert my colleague would always order plain vanilla ice cream. I worked my way though a coffee wafer basket, a 'Williams' which consisted of pear sorbet and cinnamon ice cream with marshmallows and red wine pear compote and chocolate flakes and a chocolate sundae. My colleague steadfastly insisted that vanilla was the best...I countered that it was boring and he pointed out that at least he knew what he was getting...

This got me thinking a bit - was I just being greedy? Would a few scoops of vanilla have satisfied me as much as my assorted choices? Would my life have been a little bit less full without experiencing pear sorbet and cinnamon with all the wonderful trimmings? It may make me greedy and extravagant and lots of other things but I think it would have been. I mean vanilla's nice enough but at it's best when offset with dark chocolate and cherries if you ask me...or rhubarb and apple crumble...or...

All the vanilla analysis got me thinking about sex and play and other things. I'm most definitely not vanilla - there are some flavours I avoid (liquorice and bubblegum spring to mind) but on the whole I like a mix. Definitely kinky. I love nice vanilla sex with all the cuddling and stroking and looking into each others eyes but I also love the hair twisting, head jerking, forceful sex after a heavy play that's anything but vanilla.

The other thing is I mostly fancy boys. I can't actually imagine myself in a relationship with a girl but sometimes it's fun to kiss or do rude things with girls. I view myself as heteroflexible not bisexual - I mostly like men but occasionally girls too. Is that being greedy? Or indecisive?

There's also the whole monogamy issue. I don't think I could commit to more than one person emotionally, so I think in terms of the emotional love issues I am monogamous. That doesn't mean that I don't want to play or do rude things with other people though, the ivory tower just isn't for me. The way I see it is that playing with other people adds to the fun and pleasure rather than taking it away from what you might have with your partner and you can both benefit.

I don't think I'm greedy...I think I'm just adventurous and open and in favour of anything that is fun and pleasurable and doesn't hurt anybody else (in a bad way). Surely that's not such a bad thing?

Imperial Dreams

I am feeling rather pleased with myself - I may have worked about 60 hours this week but I have finished - which gives me tomorrow to explore exciting city rather than going back to the office. To celebrate we went out for dinner at a totally fabulous hotel, which in the glory days was the peak of Imperial hospitality and hobnobbing. It was also quite simply beautiful, with many of the period features still in tact.

All of this got me thinking that those walls must have seen some interesting sights in their time...

- The spanking of the sulky daughter of an ambassador of a distant province the night before she enters the International School in the capital. Angry and resentful, she would rather stay at home where she is cared for by a maid than go back to her strict school, ran in the traditional English way with traditional English punishments...

- Some rather unorthodox disciplinary measures for a young female attache in the late Imperial period...perhaps for behaving inappropriately at one of the great banquets that were served at the hotel, drinking too much, flirting with important politicians?

- Numerous chastisement's and corrections for the hotel maids - the hotel had exceedingly high standards and only the very best would do and any failure to perform would be punished in the traditional English manner...

Yum. Am all floaty and dreamy imagining congresses between Mountbatten and Ghandi, sumptuous dinners and the such like.

Dirty minds and dark thoughts

So I am off on my travels again with work. Rather dodgy hotel and my boss is driving me absolutely insane (I can cope for 8 hours a day but 24 is threatening my sanity!). However I have seen a few signs that made me snigger...

'HORN PLEASE' is plastered all over the cars and vans here. Am feeling a slightly sex starved so I know exactly what they mean...

There are also 'STDS @50p/min' on offer, which is more than a little bizarre. 50ps here is less than 1p in the UK. I'm pretty sure it must be some sort of telecoms or something but it's a bit odd seeing it on banners all over the place!

Aaaannnyway, it's not been the smoothest of trips thus far. I ordered fresh cut fruit this evening and it came coated in curry powder - eewwww! One thing I find is that the more stressed and bizarre I am feeling the darker my dreams get. I am less interested in nice good-girl spankings or sweet scenes and want something darker, almost more elemental. When I feel like this the vision is invariably inclusive of stormy weather, or cliffs or heavy metal chains.

I'm a girl in a terribly abusive workhouse, complete with obstinate streak that ensures I'm always in trouble despite being beaten until I cry on a regular basis.
Or harsh punishments for real life stuff that I'd really hate.
I'm a girl locked in the dungeons of a medieval castle at the whim of my father's enemy who really, truly wants to hurt me (but stops short of permanent damage - honour and all that).
I'm at a terribly cruel finishing school where I'm regularly punished and humiliated for my own good.

All the types of scenes that are generally not my first pick. So it's a bit strange when I find myself craving this sort of scene, scenes where I break and have no control over the situation. We all have our dark sides and it's interesting what they bring out, even if I'm not too sure where I'll go with it...

Meet Dorothea...

Jessica recently posted about plotting for Lord Fawcett's annual house party, for which she is the glamourous hostess. I am very excited to be attending as last year was a really incredible experience. She has posted about her character, Mrs Juliet Derby so I thought I would post about mine, not least because I am travelling with work again and sitting in a very dodgy hotel with jetlag so not feeling too creative!

Last year I was a very highly ranked Lady, who also had a lot of money and managed to be both American, so educated at one of their progressive universities and next in line for an Earldom. This year I have decided to create a character that is less highly ranked and also a little less controversial. So meet Dorothea...or in full The Honourable Miss Dorothea Latimer

Dorothea is the only daughter of Lord Augustus Latimer, the Baron of Radcliffe. Whilst the family is not terribly powerful, the Latimers are extremely rich. Dorothea’s grandfather invested heavily in trade with the Far East, importing silks, cotton and spices that delighted London’s fashionable crowd. Her father is hoping that this wealth will secure a match for Dorothea with a suitably titled gentleman to enhance the family’s prestige.

Dorothea is naturally vivacious and of an excitable disposition. A talented harpist, she also loves to dance and attend the theatre (only suitable titles for a young lady of course). She enjoys a generous allowance and frequents the most fashionable new arcades and boutiques in search of the latest styles. Dorothea is also heavily involved in the Benevolent Ladies Association headed by Mrs Drummond Burrel and recently coordinated a project which knitted five hundred pairs of socks for poor orphans. Largely ignored by her father, she is the apple of her Grandfather’s eye and enchanted by his tales of distant lands.

Dorothea’s mother passed away giving birth to her fourth brother Charles when she was four. As the only girl Dorothea’s education has largely mirrored that of her brothers, meaning that she can sometimes be prone to unladylike behaviour. Her father has recently secured the services of a Governess to prepare Dorothea for coming out later this summer, as it would not do for people to whisper that she was badly brought up. On the whole Dorothea is sweet and mild mannered but she can be somewhat outspoken and prone to outlandish thoughts, though she is learning the consequences of this can be painful.

Dorothea is honoured to have been invited to Lord Fawcett’s House Party, and well aware that she must be on her best behaviour to attract a suitable match. To this end her grandfather has asked his friend Mrs Derby to act as her chaperone, feeling that Dorothea would enjoy her tales of the Americas and relate more ably to a younger and forward-looking chaperone. Dorothea is greatly looking forward to meeting the other guests, especially the young gentlemen.

Multiple usage...

I ask you people seriously - do you think that these were seriously designed to be salad tongs...or designed as punishment implements and then sold as a pair to create the illusion that they could be used as salad tongs...Thoughts on a postcard!

F*ck you very much...

Someone is cruising for a bruising and for once it's not me. Having survived a rather interesting week I decided to go for a swim before dinner and trundled merrily up to the pool. I spent sixty lengths (it's a very small pool) dodging four extremely irritating teenage boys who appeared to be permeanently stationary except when deliberately getting in my way - they would sit there and then suddenly launch themselves in front of me mid-length. This was very annoying but I did manage to 'accidentally' kick two of them which went some way towards compensating for the annoyance.

Still, having bashed up and down for about forty minutes I was feeling refreshed, until I got into my bathroom to discover that the hotel staff (who had thus far been impeccable) had for some reason neglected to leave any towels - which is bizarre as I've had about lots until today. I phoned the reception and politely asked for one. Thirty minutes later no towel. I phoned housekeeping directly and asked for one quite nicely. Fifteen minutes later no towel and a very grumpy Rebecca. I phoned reception again and asked for one somewhat less politely - two minutes later apologetic man arrives with four, and becomes even more apologetic when I answer the door in my bikini and goosebumps.

In my mind it was all a grand plot - the boys at the pool had bribed a maid to remove my towels (probably because I kept giving them evils when they jumped on me). I can only hope that the hotel manager discovered this plot and gave her a good hiding, and that the pool staff reported to the boys' fathers that they had been behaving so badly and they got thrashed too...no in case you are wondering I'm not in the best of moods today!

To be honest the pool boys and the towels aren't that big a deal. Even that I barely got a thank you for running around after thirty people all week whilst suffering from the flu isn't that big a deal - I'm getting paid and have a beautiful room with a bed big enough for at least four Rebeccas and lots of yummy meals. Being fairly recently of university this is a bit of a treat. I have some cool pressies for my friends and flatmates too, which is nice. No spankings (which may have contributed towards my grumpiness) but you can't have everything...Actually in Bangkok you probably can but am not sure it would be wise to go looking!

What has really f*cked me off today is that two people who I thought were really good friends have badly let me down. Friends for whom I've dropped everything to pick up the pieces when things go wrong, listened to their problems, tried to find nice ways to cheer them up and organised things around what suits them. So I'm feeling pretty upset. It's not that I expect anything in return but it would be nice if they could at least not screw me over because something else has come along.

That's the thing - I try so hard to be nice to people and to be there for them when they need me - I'm a girl's girl who will drop dates to be there with chocolate, wine and a sympathetic ear; or for a drunken night out when friends need me. No questions asked - that's what friends do. So it hurts a lot when people who I think are good friends treat me like that. I have a lot of friends and love meeting new people but only have few that I feel really close to. Probably because at the end of the day those are the ones who can hurt you - and who wants to get hurt?

So for today no more nice girl - may they be visited with thrashings of the not nice variety. Or at least may I not be stupid enough to blow other people out or in fact just lose sleep to look after them next they have a crisis.

Cocks, Condoms and sickly bunnies

I have been a bit remiss in posting as I have been a sickly bunny and totally excelled myself in managing to come down with the flu in a big way whilst in Bangkok. Everyone is swine flu mad here so spent most of yesterday at the hospital where after some time it was established that I have normal flu, not swine flu - panic over! However me and my friend came up with something quite funny - they are also still a bit paranoid about bird flu here and she commented that it would almost be worth getting both as then you could say that you had flying pig flu! Can you imagine the headlines?!

We went to the best restaurant ever - it is run by a charity offering HIV and sexual health services and called Cabbages and Condoms. There are whole people, flowers and statues made out of condoms and they give you a condom instead of a mint at the end of the meal. I'm wondering if we could start a similar model in the UK - Steaks and Spankings in aid of the education of delinquent girls?

I'm in Bangkok - which is a silly name as it is but was still a bit surprised to find a stall near my hotel that literally sold wooden cocks. I am debating buying one as a comedy souvenir for a friend but am not quite sure how I'd fare getting it through customs or quite how I'd explain the purchase to my colleagues if they somehow saw it! There is also a large billboard advertising 'The future of masturbation' which is some sort of male sex aid, various female arousal aids where chewing gum would normally sit in the supermarket and condoms in my hotel bathroom! It's probably just as well I'm feeling sickly otherwise I'd probably be able to think of nothing but sex all week!

I have seen some other potentially kinky purchases though - particularly super cute hair bows that would go down a treat with 'school friends' and some rather interesting underwear. I'm not sure about that though - I'm not a big girl but still bigger than most Thais! Am still in search of suitable implements but we are going to the weekend market hopefully on Saturday so maybe I'll find something then...

Soundtrack to play to...

I've been getting into the stride of running again, which has involved putting some serious thought into creating some new training playlists...songs for slow steady runs to keep me ticking along, fast stuff for sprints and the classic motivational tracks for when you think you're going to die (Eye of the Tiger anyone?).

This got me thinking about soundtracks to play to...

Britney's 'Hit Me Baby One More Time'

This one's pretty obvious really...

Catatonia 'Dazed Beautiful and Bruised'

'I've got my work cut out with you
You tore bits out of me
Your carpet burns and bruises blue
And there for all to see'

Natalie Imbruglia 'Torn'

"I'm cold and I'm ashamed, bound and broken on the floor'

Belle & Sebastian 'If You're Feeling Sinister'

"She was into S&M and bible studies
Not everyone's cup of tea she would admit to me"

Charlotte Church 'Call My Name'

"I like the sound of your shirt ripping
My will slipping under the table
I like the sound of your hand slapping
Your whip cracking, this could be painful"

She's a dirty girl that Church ;-)

I have possibly just come up with the cheesiest list ever...am now having very funny thoughts of certain gentlemen topping to those sort of songs (giggle!)

How hot is this image (stolen from the MarQes study) I just love the undertones of power and anticipation of what might be about to happen...or maybe already has...yum

Life can be tough on bottoms....

Or so a toilet paper advertisement proclaimed yesterday, sending me and one of my flatmates into complete stitches. We'd just been talking about playing and thought it was very forward thinking of the manufacturer to be so public about things. After all, life can be tough on bottoms - soreness, bruises, stripes, humiliation, having to explain about the awful fall you had when someone spots your marks in the gym changing room...it's a hard life!

That hasn't been the only startle this week. A very fit work colleague bought whips up twice in one day - once threatening to whip me with a laptop cable if I didn't get his report done quickly enough, and later suggesting I might whip delegates at a training event I'm running if they aren't on time. I laughed innocently - I'm not sure purring and saying yes please would constitute 'professional behaviour'...The question boys and girls is do we think he's kinky? And if he is what are the odds of me running into him when out clubbing? And if that happened should I let him spank me?

Thoughts of the week...

In which I have been very bad and not really posted.

1. If you take two days off work to party and then leave on time on your first day back to go and play with kinky friends you will be horrifically busy for the rest of the week. As in so busy you're practically oblivious to home-time passing, or alternatively raging at the clock in the quiet knowledge the rest of your mates are in a pub discussing pervery and drinking pink fizzy fine.

2. There really should be a spanking version of Stomp. I saw this for the first time this weekend and loved all the fantastic improvisation using brooms, buckets, match boxes and mugs (amongst other things) as instruments to create a musical dance spectacular. I think using the same concept to create a kinky show could prove a great success, vanilla items that could be perverted as implements used in synchronisation to create a visual and sound sensation. Just imagine - rulers, blind twizzlers, assorted utensils, shoe horns and a crew of eight tops and eight girls' bottoms applying in sequence or together - it would be quite fantastic! At one point the actors climb up onto railings and are harnessed into place as they beat assorted bins and things - this could easily be reversed by the girls climbing and being suspended and then being used as instruments themselves...all we need is a cast really.

3. Jessica is mean*. Not only did she whack poor Caroline (who very sweetly lent me a uniform for the scene) and myself for our language but she then demanded that we presented our bottoms to Abel for his approval. He decried that we hadn't been dealt with nearly severely enough and gave us another dozen each!* I was just catching my breath (and more importantly catching up on my poor neglected wine glass) when Jessica hauled me over her lap and smacked my thighs and calves for quoting another girl swearing, which is soooo not the same as doing it myself! In case you've ever wondered, being smacked on your ankles is surprisingly painful - wouldn't recommend it! I was perhaps not at my most meek following this and gave her the 'look', which is well known by most of my playmates to mean 'I may be apologising and acquiescing to you but in my head I'm whispering f*ck you'. This led to me being dragged upstairs without ceremony to be dealt with again, this time much more severely with the tawse which resulted in much duvet clutching and gasping and then some nice spacyness. Then utter mortification at the next instruction but more about that for when I am feeling more brave. Or have had wine.

4. If you play dice-y chance based games which result in you getting spanked it is not pure chance...oh no...it is written in the stars that the implements that come up most will be the ones you like least. If you are very lucky the playmates in question will be lovely enough that this will matter less that it might.

5. There are many well-known equations. These include E=mc2, and Time=distance/speed. Another equation that should be equally well-known is 'Perverts + Wine = Pandemonium + Red Bottoms. Abel and Haron held a very fabulous party last week and I'm not going to name-check all of the lovely people who were there but the above equation sums it up pretty well. The above equation also applies well to a kinky girls history trip this weekend, which saw me getting spanked on my bare bottom in the Hellfire Caves whilst a friend guarded the passageways into the banqueting hall from various marauding children. Later the lovely Eliane played host to us for a conventional discussion of the benefits of flower pressing. Some flower pressing then ensued, including me getting switchy but not erm flower pressed myself for once!

6. I need to find my off-switch as have been doing a bit too much this week and I get very grumpy when I'm over-tired.

7. I am really very tempted to buy some new and pretty knickers for Sweet Torments on Saturday...but I shouldn't...but I should...they are all so pretty!

As you may have gathered, my thoughts are somewhat wandering. Am playing a scene I've been looking forward to tomorrow night with the boy interest - hurrah :)

* At this point I should note that Jessica is not really mean but rather lovely. I like lovely people who whack me. And when she isn't on a 'sick note' she is far naughtier than me!

Read all about it...

TUBE STRIKERS SPANKED AS COMMUTERS EXPRESS THEIR DISGUST...

Ok so it's not an article in the local press but it should be. The tube strike has caused absolute chaos in London today, surely they should all be spanked? Definitely roleplay possibilities there..the young union official spanked by frustrated counterparts during the negotiation process...or assaulted by commuters wielding canes as she leaves the picket lines...yum :)
